Golden Berries
Native to the Peruvian Andes plant, known and used since pre-Inca times; its very poor crop has been used by low-income farmers, for their own consumption.
It grows from sea level up to 3300 m, it supports low temperatures and minimum water requirement at the stage of maturation of their fruits. It do not require chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
The Aguaymanto has a high content of vitamin A, C, B complex and minerals like iron and phosphorus, this Andean fruit is also known for its antioxidant properties, its properties against lung cancer, leukemia and prostate cancer, their anti-inflammatory properties and control of diabetes and hypertension.
